Main Content

This fairly small residential neighborhood was developed in the early 1900s as an extension of the Mission District. It is bordered by Geneva Avenue, HWY 280 and Daly City. The Outer Mission has a dense population due to the high number of renters. Residents enjoy excellent public transportation: Bart, several bus lines along Mission Street, three Muni-Metro lines, and a few SamTrans lines serving commuters to the Peninsula.

Attractions and amenities
  • Mission street is packed with businesses such as ethnic restaurants, pizzerias and green markets that specialize in Latin-American delicacies.
  • Cayuga Park and Playground is a hidden gem and a favorite among locals. It has a childrens’ playground, a baseball diamond, basketball court, clubhouse, and a picnic area.
